Welcome!
Do you want to start making healthier food choices but feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start? Have you received a new medical diagnosis that requires you to change your lifestyle, but no information on how to make those changes? Are you tired of eating the same things all the time and need some inspiration? Are you ready to heal your body with real food and practical healthy habits? I'm here to help!

My background as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist includes work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Whether it's medical nutrition therapy or general healthy eating, I can help you learn the tools you need to reach your health and wellness goals. I have certificates of training in Adult Weight Management and Integrated and Functional Nutrition, as well as a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from eCornell. I can work with you to break down topics like what makes a meal nourishing and balanced, how to read and interpret a nutrition facts label, and how to do a pantry makeover. I can personalize meal plans to meet your preferences and needs.

I believe in food as medicine that can heal our bodies. I also believe in a holistic mind-body approach, reigniting the connection between the two through mindfulness and self care, because we cannot maintain a healthy body without a healthy mind. I have experience working with diverse clients of all ages and provide a safe, judgment free environment. Health is not a luxury but should be accessible to all. I look forward to working with you!

What to Expect
Before our session
You will receive a pre-assessment before our first meeting that will include some basic information, like your medical history and a current medication list if applicable. Lab results may be requested. You may be advised to keep a food diary for several days, depending on what you are seeking help for. All payments must be made in advance.

Initial session
Duration: 60 minutes

We will review your medical history and current food habits. We will look at your physical activity level and other habits. We may begin to discuss your relationship with food. We will also set some small, manageable goals that you can implement to start improving your health.

Follow up sessions
Duration: 30 minutes

In follow up sessions, we will check in on your goals and see what might need adjusting. We will work to identify any barriers to success and answer any nutrition questions that have come up between sessions. You will receive support and encouragement from me, as well as accountability. I can also provide you with recipes and handouts to help you on your journey.

Packages
I offer nutrition packages in the form of pre-paid minutes. Some clients want to learn as much as they can all at once, but in my practice I have found the greatest successes in clients that schedule follow up sessions so we can troubleshoot when they feel stuck, have hit a plateau, or have gotten off track with their goals. Learn more about my nutrition counseling packages here.
Please note that all packages expire within 1 year of purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Counseling sessions are conducted online using the secure medical video conferencing platform doxy.me. In addition to being free, doxy.me works automatically in popular browsers with no need to download additional software or plugins.
